Evening at the Pool with Tupelo Friends

Last night, we had a fun time at the pool with our Tupelo buddies who live in Birmingham. Conner, Ada, and Ann Luckett had a blast in the splash pad. The girls favored the big pool since they already know how to jump in from the side. I am sure that Conner will be trying to do that before the summer is over!!

Playtime with Mary Bishop

Conner stayed with Gram and Pops last Saturday in Columbus so Zack and I could attend his cousin's engagement party in New Albany. It was perfect timing because Ben and Blair were also in town to celebrate Blair's mom's birthday. Conner had lots of fun with Mary Bishop and enjoyed getting to play with all the toys at Granna and Pop's house (Blair's parents). We really enjoyed seeing the sweet little girl on Sunday when we came back through to pick him up. It is still so hard to believe that she is already crawling now - the time just goes back way too fast!!

Lake Trip

Last Friday, we headed down to the lake with our friends Jeff and Kerry & Ashley and Matt. Jeff's family has a place on a private lake outside of Sylacauga that is absolutely one of the prettiest and most peaceful places I have ever been!! We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and really appreciate their hospitality. Zack is already hoping for another invite in the winter so he can possibly go hunting.

We met Randall, a guy who also lives on the property, and his pet deer, Spotty. Conner loved getting to get up close and personal with Spotty. He really was so adorable and even wanted to play with Conner (as you can see in one of the pictures in the slideshow when he jumps up on him). Thanks to Aunt Ash we have some great pictures! When Conner starts hunting I am going to remind him of when he meet this sweet baby deer so he will be extra careful not to kill the little Bambi deer out there.

I'm One!...but really 14 months to be exact

Conner turned 14 months on June 1st! I can tell that he is starting to understand so much more these days and it is fun to watch his little mind explore. He is starting to repeat what you say (although you cannot understand it quite often) and what you do, which is too cute. He is also saying the words "fish" and "shoes"... not sure why those are coming up so soon. I guess because his favorite things are eating and going outside. He is also clapping really well and trying to jump up and down (pretty funny to watch).
One of my favorite things is how he will answer the question how old are you by holding up one finger and then clap for himself afterwards. He will even do it for people at the grocery store now and it is fun to see how proud he gets of himself.
He loves to eat ice and play in coolers. He still has quite the obsession for his pacifiers. He often will put one in his mouth and have one in each hand. I guess he gets that from his mommy, since I had mine until I was either three or four!! I think that we are going to have a rough time taking it away in a few months.

Water Baby

Conner has absolutely no fear of the water. We have been going to the pool lots since it opened several weeks ago. He is not afraid to duck completely under the water and often comes back up to the surface laughing. It keeps me busy chasing him around, but really is too cute to see him enjoy! We are going to have a blast this summer.
Needless to say, I never get any pictures of Conner's pool time. These are some of the weekend before last at the CC pool with Gram and Pops. Thanks Gram!
Conner with his buddy Colin. It seems that he is trying to run him over in the first picture. He was probably just a little jealous that Colin could sit up so well, as you can tell from the second shot.

Conner & Gram at the Zoo

I never seem to capture a picture of mom and Conner. I finally downloaded pictures from her camera this weekend and found some old ones that I wanted to share. They were from our trip to the zoo on my birthday.
One of Conner's favorite things at the zoo is the barn and petting zoo. He loves to get up close and personal with the pygmy goats and sheep and has a blast using the rake. It seems that he thinks that the pygmy goats are a bigger version of Max.

Spoiled by Gram and Pops

Last weekend, Daddy took off to Oxford to watch the Rebels play baseball so Conner and I decided to make a trip to Gram and Pops'. We had lots of fun and enjoyed our time together so much!

Conner is once again enjoying the 4wheeler (the past few visits, surprisingly, he did not want to ride and seemed a little scared of it). He also went to the kiddie pool twice, helped Pops put out corn for the deer, relaxed in the hot tub, and played on the playground at McDonalds! It was a very busy weekend, but I would expect nothing less from a busy boy and his busy Pops!
