Memorial Day at the Lake

We spent Memorial Day at Pickwick with Nana, Pop, Uncle T, Amy and Baylor. It was such a fun time although the rain would not allow for as much time on the boat as we had hoped. We were able to get out three times despite the weather. Conner loved helping Pop steer the boat and even pitched a fit to ride the inner tube with Baylor. His mean mommy said that we needed to wait until the next trip when the water was warmer and not so choppy from the bad weather. He had a blast even if he wasn't able to get out in the water!
Do you think Baylor had a shadow all weekend or what?

SEC Tourney - Two and Out

The SEC baseball tournament was held last week near our house at Regions Park. Granddaddy and Juju came over to watch the Rebels play and of course to see Conner. Unfortunately, they went two and out by Thursday. Zack was disappointed, but feels better now that he knows for certain that they will be hosting a Regional in Oxford next weekend.

Conner made it out for the Ole Miss/Florida game on Thursday. He lasted in the seats about two innings and then the rest of the time Zack and I chased him around the entire stadium. His daddy was glad to take him to his first baseball game nontheless.

The BIG 3-0

I just want to say thanks again to my sweet husband for throwing me a surprise birthday party last Saturday night to celebrate my 30th. He did such a great job with all the details and I was only starting to get suspicious on Saturday about our plans. It was such a perfect night and I had a blast sharing it with my favorite people. Thanks to all of my family and friends who were able to be there and share this fun time with me! I love you all more than you know.

Regions Charity Classic Golf Tourney

The Regions Golf Tourney was held in Ross Bridge last weekend. Too bad the rain did not stay away so we could enjoy more of it!! Conner and I went out on Thursday afternoon and got to see Bo Jackson, as well as some other Pro Am golfers. Gram & Pops came over that night to enjoy the tournament as well as some QT with Conner.
On Friday, they kept him so Zack and I could go to the tournament and spend some time with our friends Heather and Jeff. After his nap, they brought Conner over to the golf course and we had a big time. Conner enjoyed two brownies, one strawberry ice cream, peanut butter nabs, and lots of bottled water!! Do you think he gets spoiled by the grandparents or what? I was amazed he did not get sick.

Rain Rain Go Away

We had lots of rain this past week and weekend and were so glad to finally see the sunshine today! Conner really enjoyed his first rainy play day on Saturday when he decided to head off the back porch under the overflowing gutter with his lawnmower. It was so cute to see him enjoying a puddle and downpour for the first time. He had a blast mowing our grass in the rain.

Pops also helped Conner discover the facet in our backyard this weekend. One positive is that I am sure he will help me remember to water the flowers now.

Conner and Friends

There has been lots going on in the neighborhood these past couple of weekends. From dinner at one of our neighbors to a neighborhood crawfish boil to the Regions Charity Golf Tournament this past weekend. Here are a couple of pictures of Conner with his buddies, Anna James, Charlotte, and Ryan.
Conner is happy to share his ride with the girls!!

One of Conner's favorite things to do now is eat ice out of a cooler! It seriously will amuse him for at least 15 minutes every time. I am sure that there will be lots of digging in coolers this summer.

In desperate need of a helmet

Conner has really started running these days and he is keeping his mommy very busy. Almost two weeks ago, he and I were playing in the driveway. He decided to run over to our front porch to play. By the time I got there, he had already climbed up the two steps, turned around, and walked right off the top step coming back down. He took a pretty bad tumble and skinned his face up pretty bad. I could not bring myself to take a picture the first few days, but here is one taken three days after the injury when it had already started healing. I am sure you can imagine how bad it was at first. This mommy has got to toughen up!!!

Happy Birthday Charlie

Our little buddy Charlie Noto turned 2 on Tuesday!!! We celebrated his birthday down on the farm (literally at his grandparents farm) with a cowboy party. Lindsey did such a great job making the day so special for him with so many little details.

There was a horse for the bigger children to ride, a shetland pony for the little ones, and even a petting zoo! Conner loved the animals. He was not much for the horses although we tried. Honestly, he was much more tickled to play with Charlie's John Deere tractors.

Play date with SPC buddies

Last Friday, we had a play date with some of mommy's friends from her old job and their children. Conner had a blast and really enjoyed his new buddies, especially Allie who was such a tremendous help to me in keeping up with my wild man!!

Already Thirteen Months

Conner is thirteen months today! We celebrated with a new goose egg and bruise on his forehead from a fall on the bottom of our fireplace. I seriously think that we need to invest in a helmet for him to wear all the time.

I also wanted to share a link to our photographer's blog for some of Conner's 1st year pics. We loved our photographer, Grethel Van Epps and thought that she did a fabulous job. I would highly recommend her!! Hope you enjoy the pics.
